Storing Feminized Marijuana Seeds

Most people who buy feminized marijuana seeds will be using them right away to grow marijuana plants with but if you want to store them temporarily that’s always an option. Storing feminized marijuana seeds is just as easy as storing normal marijuana seeds and you just have to make sure the seeds are stored in a suitable environment.

If you are storing the feminized seeds during the winter you will have to make sure the seeds are in an environment with a constantly low temperature and humidity. If the feminized seeds are stored with little to no light and are not able to get any oxygen it could cause the seeds to wake up. You always want to make sure the feminized seeds aren’t at risk of germinating while being stored

. You can safely store marijuana seeds in conditions where the temperature is under 98.6 degrees Fahrenheit but ideally you will want to keep the temperature between seventy and eighty-five degrees Fahrenheit for best results.

One very good place to store marijuana seeds would be inside your refrigerator. The best area of your fridge to store your seeds at would be in the shelf where veggies are usually stored. The main worry of storing marijuana seeds would be the moisture. The humidity in refrigerators is too high to store the seeds though so you will have to use an air tight bag to make sure the seeds are safe to be stored in your fridge.

For long term storage of your feminized marijuana seeds (over 4-6 months) you will want to tape a desiccating agent (like silica gel) inside the bag which your seeds are in. this will help to absorb the moisture easily. Make sure the desiccating agent does not touch your feminized marijuana seeds directly. To make sure the light does not affect your marijuana seeds you can place the bag into a paper bag so light doesn’t directly attack the bag containing your seeds.

With this advice you will be able to safely store your feminized marijuana seeds for a long time. This method works to store the marijuana seeds for up to three years but it’s suggested you use the seeds after the second year at the latest as some may start to go to waste earlier.
